Security

We take security extremely seriously.  We want you to be sure that the system is reliable / accurate and that you can be sure that it does what it is meant to.  This means:

1. We ask all users to confirm their email address.  This means we can be certain that the email address is not being used without the owner’s permission
2. We only allow one response per email address per campaign
3. We encourage anyone who uses the site to report abuse and provide feedback.  We are able to bar particular email addresses as well as particular computers (through its IP address)
4. We prevent automated spammers by including a “captcha” on the site.  This means that we can be sure that it is a person behind each and every response – rather than a machine
5. Every protest email we send is delayed by five minutes and we send a maximum number of emails per hour.  This fail-safe ensures that we are able to manage the campaign and, should we need to, (for whatever reason), means we are better prepared to prevent any bulk unauthorised emails being sent
